12 Degrees of Challqu

Yeah, I'm posting content that's posted on Rough Cut. Here's what's on the homepage today...

We at Rough Cut have invented our own board game. We call it "12 Degrees of Challqu," and the goal is to link famous actors to this young Peruvian villager. We thought we'd start with Senor Bacon.

12 - CHALLQU was bitten by this
11 - MOSQUITO, which bit this
10 - LLAMA, which is owned by
09 - KANTU, who sold a corn on the cob to this
08 - TOURIST, who shared a train to Macchu Picchu with…
07 - GUSTAV, a German tourist whose
06 - COUSIN DIETER is going out with
05 - SABINA, who went backstage at rock concert headlined by
04 - DAVID HASSELHOFF, who was in "Dodgeball" with
03 - BEN STILLER, who appeared in "Anchorman" with
02 - TIM ROBBINS, who was in "Mystic River" with
01 - KEVIN BACON

Watch Rough Cut next week when we link Challqu to Belgian sensation Jean-Claude Van Damme. Also, watch Rough Cut tonight for an interview with Kevin Bacon. He gives actors some SHOCKING advice to young actors. SHOCKING!!!

It's interesting that this post is from the webpage you produce because when I tried to find it and did a google search earlier today I discovered Laura Swisher Hates Black Men.
Why are none of the degrees brothers?

Laura Swisher said...

Because I hate black men and will do everything in my power to keep them off the Internet. Also, black men aren't known to attend David Hasselhoff concerts.

As long as you admit it.
Just so you know, the next timd Hasselhoff plays the Apollo I'll be in the front row.

We don't use The Hasselhoff's name in vein.

Laura doesn't really hate black men, but Kevin Bacon does.

That picture of Laura rules and is yet another example of why I post here. Please don't tell me Intern Joey faked that pic too.

It's funny you mentioned the Bacon in this blog. I was wondering just the other day how many degrees of Baconness I was away from Laura. I'm thinking around 4, but there's a lot of gaps in those 4. Mind you I'm too lazy to actually bother figuring out who the other 3 are. It's just a guess. Cat Schwartz holds the key.

P.S. Podcast keeps getting better and better.

Clinton don't take it to heart; that she responded to you in her blog makes you historically the first person ever elicit a response from her in her own blog. I say historically despite being too lazy to look through the history. Looking at the time stamp I'd say you got a reply in just over 30 minutes which may also entitle you to a free pizza. In truth Laura the speculation is that it's not black men, but men-in-general your not so wild about. I think “Furries” is the word being tossed around.

More evidence that Kevin Bacon is the nexus of the universe. He holds the secret on how to enter Fragglerock and Smurf village.

Ian, Laura has responded to posts before. Her response time was probably just coincidental.

Huck, I have much praise for Laura, but I am grossed out by multiple creepy Pope pictures and back acne.

Aaron, the blog entry I referred to is about accepting that ones likes or dislikes isn't what makes one black. Bill Clinton is many times more likely to go to the Apollo than I am. I don't think Laura hates black men. If I did I wouldn't read her blog.
Liking different things is no reason to hate black people. I listen to Kenny Loggins and Chicago while I can't stand most rap music. I prefer the Museum of Natural History and the Brooklyn Museum. I'm a member of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and I literally haven't been to the Apollo in decades. I only mentioned going there because it would mean I would never have to see Hasselholf. Regardless, I feel no need to prove my "blackness" to anyone.
To be honest, I feel sorry of anybody who hates black men. They are missing out on a lot of good people and a lot of good experiences, but it's their choice and their loss.

J-Dot, I don't think Bacon doesn't know the secrets of the Fraggles or the Smurfs, but if it turns out that he does I'd be really impressed.

Aaron, I thought so. No apology needed, but accepted.
I'm against behavior that is exclusive, divisive, dismissive, or stigmatizing, but I'm very comfortable with my black identity. I sometimes forget that everbody isn't and I don't like smiley faces, so I just wanted to make clear that I meant no harm.
I beleive in celebrating and embrassing the entire African diaspora in all its diversity. As for people who don't, it's their loss.

BTW, it would be good if Laura hated black men, so she wouldn't eat black babies.

Hey! I want to be hated too! Is it OK that I'm a white man? :-)

Surely we can all agree to hate equally? ;-)

(Sorry - I'm feeling squirrely today! LOL)

I totally want to be a bigot, too. I've already gone down the list but its all been done before: blacks, Jews, gays, whales, astronauts, you name it.

Any tips for unique hate?
