- I'm a self-absorbed artist type who just re-relocated from Los Angeles to San Francisco to Los Angeles. In LA self-absorbed artist types have head shots. In San Francisco they have single gear bicycles, which are much more difficult to hand out. I hosted some shows for TV and TV.com, and I do stand-up.

Once again where Swish's blog leads, I follow. I've been putting off learning to record streaming audio, but I learned because of your post.

How many times is too many times to be listening to this? Cause I'm up to about 200. No, not really. Laura we all owe you for the small window you open up into your world and let us look through. Sure some of us have cameras and are waiting for you to drop a towel or something, but nevertheless it's beyond kind of you. It's crisp and refreshing. Like Fresca!
Lastly I want to know if it's inappropriate for me to call my house and play this mp3 into my answering machine so when I get home I can freak out to my friends that "you've" called.
Maybe at some point you can record one just for this very purpose for all of us who've flocked to your banner. And maybe you can use the word "snookums" or "shmoopy" a few times.
Sounds like a money making business. Famous phone messages. Interesting.
As far as streaming goes I was looking at VideoLAN www.videolan.org as an alternative to Windows Media Player. It's free and open source and all that good stuff. Works too. I then noticed that it will actually playing streaming audio and video like all the silly expensive server software does, for free. I don't need that right now but it's nice to know it's out there.
