Comments Speak Loudly

However much folks claimed to be uncomfortable with my last post, it certainly generated a lot of comments. Clearly the subject of 'gina is a very popular one, even if the hoo ha in question belongs to my mom. For shame.

I just got word from my agent that the episode of Living With Fran that I'm on airs on the WB Friday, April 22nd at 8:30pm. Set your Tivos. Or don't. Really, it's up to you.

On Sunday I broke down and splurged. I went to Thai Town and got myself a Thai massage. Before you ask, and I know you otherwise will, the massage did not include a happy ending. In my case that might be better labeled a horrific ending, cause I wouldn't be expecting it at all and then, suddenly, "What the #@%&$! No,no. I'm good, thanks. No need for that! I'm just going to go home and scour myself with a Brillo pad in scalding water, thanks."

A friend recommended this particular spot, called Pho Siam. It was amazing. I'd never had a Thai massage before. Their website explains that their brand of massage was developed over thousands of years and focuses on deep muscles, energy lines, energy points and joints. In lingo that's more to the point, it means they walk on you, jam elbows into your back and twist you like a pretzel. And it's awesome. I'm a little sore today, but I'd happily go back. Plus, it's not that expensive as far as massages go. I paid $50 including tip. Not too bad, especially for Los Angeles.

Today I'm running around doing errands. Friends of mine from Tucson are heading to San Diego today so I'm probably going to meet them down there. Unfortunately, I have a pregnant tire that I need to repair. I don't know how it happened, although I suspect my car might be a slut. How else to explain it?

The guy at the gas station told me my tire could blow at any moment. That was a few weeks ago. So I'll see if I can take care of it today.

Anyway, all for now.

I love you.

Off-topic: I should point out, that for those of you enjoying any sort of sunny, warm, or generally appropriate spring weather... it is now snowing here, in Boston, as I type this.

A pox on this place.

On-topic: Good to hear about the WB. the station scares me but i'll take the chance.

I know what you are doing Miss Swisher and it will not work. Do not try to win us over with promises of love and tales of 'gina. We commentors will not be used as pawns for your massive comic ego. We will draw the line here and now against your sweet talking brainwashing agenda. United we stand, united we fall. All for one and .... When you said, "I love you," you were talking to me, right? I mean, it had to be me. LOL of course it was me. Sorry, I was just getting paranoid, of course you were talking to me. All these saps do not mean anything to you. RIGHT? *crying myself to sleep*

it seems the only appropriate thing to do in this situation is to talk about my penis, but i shall spare you all of that joyous occasion

Hey Laura--

I love your blog. I check it every day and it always makes me smile. Have you ever considered doing your own podcast? If you don't know what one is, you can check out a bunch at www.podcastalley.com. It would be awesome to hear you tell your stories every week in an audio format. You seem perfect for it. Just a thought.

Here's a link to my lame podcast. It's at www.digitaldetroitradio.com in case you are interested. Thanks!
