Best Diet Ever

I keep reading stories that popular diets aren't as wonderful as their adherents would have you believe. Today I read that following a low-carb diet might lead to serious health conditions. I don't know, specifically, which health conditions they're talking about because I didn't get that far. I'm not at risk for any diet-related diseases/conditions because I'm on the perfect diet.

Now, I normally charge people to tell them about my diet. It's a winner. I lost 30 pounds in one hour and I didn't have to exercise or consume an unpleasant-tasting beverage. Here it is, in one word: Photoshop.

Now go out and lose weight, my friends.

I tend to use Photoshop to turn people into demonic possession victims...

Sure Laura, you need to lose 30 lbs.
There must be 40 or 50 guys and at least as many women who won't have anything to do with you until you do.

But seriously, you've got much more going for you than just your looks. I wish everyone did, so we can start paying more attention to important things, like the Final Four.

I dropped 160 lbs. when I broke up with my girlfriend. (*groan*)

I finally hit my target fat % about a week ago! I've dropped almost 20 pounds over the last couple years and kept it off. If that doesn't seem like much, I only weight about 135 now. I'm hollow.

Atkins is bad for you. Yes, you can lose weight on it, but it's very difficult and puts a lot of stress on your body. You can't do it long term either, which means at some point you will have to switch back to a more realistic diet.

I've never done Atkins, I love carbs WAY too much. Some of my friends have. Some lost weight, some didn't. They all complained of fatigue and headaches. Any diet that requires you to take vitamins and do all kinds of check on your fluids is inherently unhealthy. They admit that you can't get the nutrition you need from the food they recommend.

My regimen? I excerise when I can; weights and basketball. I stay away from crap foods like soda, candy, ice cream (which I love), cookies, etc. I try to eat lean meats and as many vegetables as I can cram into my head. My dessert is usually some high-ish fiber cereal (Kashi, etc.) or recently stone cut oatmeal with milk and maple syrup.

The biggest recent discovery is that when I get bored I want to eat even though I'm not hungry. So keeping busy is also very important. Especially if you can keep your hands busy so you can't eat!

LOL I need someone to "photoshop" me! I am on a mission to lose some weight for real. I am doing atkins since I lost 18 pounds in 2 and a half weeks last time I did it. But it is hard to sustain. I have also learned exercise is a necessary evil. Wish me luck and check out my blog for updates. http://averageamericanintheusa.blogspot.com/
