This is therapy with spell check. Instead of seeking answers to actual problems, however, I will be petty and superficial. It's less work. Please enjoy.

Is Sarah Palin the New Clarence Thomas?
If the Republicans break the glass ceiling, I fear millions of women will get cut.
A beautifully concise application of occam's razor. Can a country afford to be flippant at that level? Apparently a political party can. Unfortunately, we may all find out.
While we're on the subject of politics:
1) China doesn't care.
2) As much as it pains me, I'm going to watch the Republican convention. Forewarned is forearmed, I say. Gonna tivo it, because I'll probably be using the back button a lot. That thing is going to have more codewords than a CIA radio broadcast in KGB country.
3) Speculation: what if the Roman Empire had had nukes? (Well, China DOES care about that!)
Looking at my post it seems a little confusing. What I meant by "A beautifully concise application of occam's razor" is that in two (two!) sentences Laura summed up in simplest terms what will be filling blogs, newscasts, and newspaper articles and editorials for the next few days. Laura: sharp like marble, swift like tree!
I'm a self-absorbed artist type who just re-relocated from Los Angeles to San Francisco to Los Angeles. In LA self-absorbed artist types have head shots. In San Francisco they have single gear bicycles, which are much more difficult to hand out. I hosted some shows for TV and TV.com, and I do stand-up.

Interesting topic to blog about!
I think she's the new Dan Quayle.

If I had a nickel any time someone said of me "Sharp like marble, swift like tree!" I'd be rich by now.
Thanks tankboy.
I think she's part Dan Quayle, part Herriet Meyers.
