Man Arrested for Being a Patriot
When we're at war, it's inappropriate to arrest flag-waving patriots. It's clear that we need another flag bill passed, one that extends protection beyond condominium owners and homeowners, a bill that would protect individuals from being arrested if they are waving a flag. I'm serious. If someone is waving a flag, he should not face arrest. But he has to be waving the flag, not just holding it. It's the least we can do to honor the men and women who have sacrificed their lives for this country.

Just running out but I have to comment on this later...
I propose we seek to kickstart a grassroots movement about this. Lets all snap Polaroids (haha yeah right Polaroids) of ourselves naked draped only in the American flag. Laura you first. For mine I'll not only wear one as a cape but "mount" a small (smaller) one on my "flagpole" and stand by highway waving it at folks. And have a friend take pictures from a safely hidden location to document my undoubted arrest. Or maybe trading cards of celebrities swathed only in red white & blue.
"I'll trade you a Ryan Seacrest and two Henry Winklers for that Laura Swisher. Wait I'll throw in a Larry King. No? Ok but just take the Larry King."
Profound punchline: you don't have to die to sacrifice your life for your country.
I don't think it was the flag that got him into trouble so much as the flag pole.
I hate homeowners associations. I'm going to be in the market for a house later this year, again. There's no way I'd buy a house and have someone tell me what color I can paint it or if I can put a flamingo on the lawn or not. Like Mel says "Freeeeedom!!!". I want to be free to have my hot tubs filled with women, my helicopter land in the back yard, and my 1,000 closest friends over for a BBQ.
I wonder what happened to the other drunk redneck?
I don't blame the cops. They just wanted to make sure that naked ass didn't "soil" the flag.

There was probably just one drunk. I think the person reporting was most likely experiencing double vision. Is it possible there were _two_ like-minded American patriots attending the same function? Er, wait. That party was in Alabama wasn’t it?
