24 Hour Fitness Wants Me Back

They wrote me a letter in which they said they missed me. I kind of miss 24 Hour Fitness. I remember this one time, after a cardio class, I went to take a shower and learned that they CHARGED FOR TOWELS. That was fun. This other time I took two classes in a row and I was really fired up over taking control of my health. And...wait, did I only go twice? In sixth months? I had to have gone more, right? I mean, i paid them about $50 bucks a month. Who would pay money to NOT use a service? Oh that's right! I would. Cause this happens every time I join a gym, which is why I won't join another gym again. Until I join another one.

I wish the gym was really a front for an investment company. Instead of wasting all that money not working out, you're money would be working out for you. Sure, once every couple of months you could go down to the institution and run on one of the treadmills in the lobby, but its only real purpose is to allow people to say they work out at a gym.

Just talking out loud here.

On another note, it's super smokey here in Los Angeles. The wind has carried Sylmar smoke into Hollywood and Downtown. Pungent.

Here in Northridge there is ash everywhere and there's no escaping the fireplace smell. My pool has a grey dirty ash on the surface and coating the bottom. The dogs are dirty and they were bathed a week ago. My car looks like someone dropped a potted plant on it. I'd hate to see what it looks like farther north.

Coincidentally, World of Warcraft sent me an email and wants me back too. That's another service we pay for that feels like work.

Doubly coincidentally I was really going to get a good cardio workout in this weekend before the fires started. Now I'm just looking forward to the next rain.
